Kathy (Sydney, Australia)

Saw the 4:30pm October 23rd show at the Kabuki-za theatre (Regular tour)

Thank you for all your organising of this performance. We both enjoyed it very much.
The costumes, the scenery, the music, the acting/dancing and just how beautiful Kabukiza is.
We enjoyed it all. The seats were perfect.
Your talk and handouts were very good. Because of them we could have a much better appreciation of the whole experience.

Ben (Hawaii, USA)

Saw the 4:30pm October 15th show at the Kabuki-za Theatre (Private tour)
We are so glad that we were able to take your Kabukiguide tour.  Having you
suggest which sections and seats to get, along with purchasing the tickets
for us saved us a lot of time, and allowed us to really enjoy the Kabuki
experience. My friends also said it was a wonderful tour, Kabuki
performance, and great evening out.

Your tour from start to finish was really educational and gave all of us a
great perspective on why Kabuki is a national treasure.  Having tea and
sweets in the tea shop, handouts identifying the kabuki actors, and your
presentation was great!

Although I do not understand Japanese, having the synopsis of each
performance allowed me to focus on watching the actor's performance, and
still have an idea on what the story was about.  It was also nice to see a
dance performance along with the other two performances.
I would highly recommend your tour for anyone interested in Kabuki, and want
to get a better understanding of it before attending a kabuki performance

Thank you again for giving all of us such a wonderful tour!

Gabrielle (Wisconsin, USA)

Saw the 4:30pm October 12th show at the Kabuki-za Theatre (Regular tour)

I enjoyed the performance.

We weren't able to get any fish cakes, but we stayed for all three acts. It was interesting to see them all and to see the differences between the three types of acts.

The information you provided definitely helped, and I thought the tour was very informative. Thank you.

Ellen (Copenhagen, Denmark)

Saw the 11am August 12th show at the Kabuki-za theatre (Regular tour)

Thank you for arranging everything concerning the Kabuki performance last Saturday, August 12 at Kabuki-za. Thank you also for sending the photos. It was a great pleasure for all three of us, and we enjoyed it tremendously.
We enjoyed in particular the second part, the update of a No play, with the dancing and singing. Thanks to your introduction we could understand for example the use of the fan.
Also, we were very happy about the box seats, even if the projector lights on the actors when arriving at and leaving the stage on the bridge was quite sharp in our eyes. The bento box was perfect.
We will recommend your service to anyone going to Tokyo, who is wanting to attend at Kabuki performance, just as we will contact you, if we should ever be able to go again.

Patrick (Illinois, USA)

Saw the evening May 14th show at the Kabuki-za theatre (Regular tour)

Thank you again for the tour and introduction to Kabukiza! I had a wonderful time and the performance was amazing! The Dattan was beautiful to see! And the view from the box was very special. Thank you!

Michael (New York, USA)

Saw the evening April 16th show at the Kabuki-za theatre (Private tour)

The performance today was incredible! A huge thank you again for the informative tour, and for helping us with the tickets (fantastic seats!).

My kids watched the entire performance like they were spellbound & cannot stop talking about the lion dance, in particular.

Troy (Colorado, USA)

Saw both of Matinee and the evening April 13th shows at the Kabuki-za theatre (Private tour)

Thank you Kazui! I enjoyed it. It was hard to understand, I wish there were still headsets with Enlgish translation. I was very grateful for our discussion and the prints out you provided. That helped to understand.

I really enjoyed the father son dance in the evening performance.

The battle with the toad and centipede were very fun with great acrobatics.

I enjoyed humorous man they met in the mountains in the afternoon performance.

It was very interesting to see the living national treasures play young characters in the show. I can see why they are legends.

Thank you again!

Deborah and George (Arizona, USA)

Saw the evening April 4th show at the Kabuki-za theatre (Regular tour)

We had a wonderful time yesterday. Your talk was great, very informative and so well organized, especially like all the visual aids upi shared with us.

Our seats at the Kabuki performance were perfect. The show was so different from anything we had seen before.

Yesterday was every thing I hoped it would be.

It was great meeting you. I will recommend you to friends coming to Japan.

Thank you again for a great experience!!!

Gayle (California, USA)

Saw the evening April 8th show at the Kabuki-za theatre (Regular tour)

Your information about Kabuki was very helpful, explaining the history, the legacy that is being carried out. It was a wonderful performance (even though it would have been helpful to have an audio guide).

Thank you again for taking the time to explain everything and be good about cammunicating each step of the way.

Steve (California, USA)

Saw the second 19th February show at the Kabuki-za Theatre (Regular tour)

We loved the performances!  Yes, the seats were wonderful especially for those parts of the performance that made use of the runway.  You prepared us very well, we appreciated so much more of both the stories as well as the nuances in the acting that help make it much more alive.  Julie really liked that you put the estimated times for each of the story sections.

You have made us Kabuki lovers and we will certainly see more performances when we return to Japan next year.
